…STARTING XI

It will come down to how the players are feeling and how they cope with the week of training. Nevertheless, it’s great to see them back involved with the rest of the boys. When changes are made, it’s always challenging at the beginning, but now we have other players in our ranks who have stepped into that role.

…DORTMUND

They have a lot of pace and physicality on the pitch. However, in the last few weeks, they also conceded chances and left room for their opponent to exploit time and time again. In addition to our defensive work, it’s important that we try to create chances and don’t make too many mistakes in possession.

…ABOUT MATCH

Opponents don’t enjoy coming here. We’ll need the fantastic support the fans always give us once again, which we can repay them for by playing good football.” We've proven that, if we put in a good performance, we can go toe-to-toe with an opponent of this calibre and pick up points against them. I trust my players to do that again.

…INJURY REPORT

Only Sebastian Haller is definitely out. Goalkeeper Gregor Kobel returned to training this week. Felix Nmecha was also able to train again. Both are potentially an option for the game in Bremen.

…OPPONENT

Bremen were able to win against Bayern Munich and their performance against Leipzig was also strong. This contrasts with a defeat against Hoffenheim and a close draw against SV Darmstadt. We know that Bremen are capable of keeping every game close and they will prepare for that.

…EUROPE

We are happy about the qualification. It was one of Borussia Dortmund’s goals to be in this elite group. We are happy that we qualified. But we will first prepare for the next tasks.
