Son was keen to come back and get amongst the boys again. It didn't surprise me that he came back and wanted to train straight away and be available. That's why he is the person he is.

…INJURIES

Bissouma had a slight form of malaria before the tournament but that cleared up before the tournament started and he had no issues after that. As a result, Bissouma will be available to face his former club. Gio trained all week but he's obviously missed a fair bit of football, so we'll just have to see how he is and whether we give him another week or not. It's certainly the healthiest squad we've had for quite a while. It's much more preferable.

…BRIGHTON

I know their results haven't been great but the identity they have and the football they play doesn't change. That's why they are such a challenging opponent because, irrespective of their form, they are still going to go there and be brave on the ball, play their football and try to dominate.

I spoke with him this morning. He wanted to stay with the squad. He's not here physically but he's here with his personality. The players have a big responsibility, they know that. We hope that tomorrow they will play for him.

…KAORU MITOMA AND JOAO PEDRO

Roberto will decide because he's asked us how he was working. He worked well [this week] but he has travelled a lot. I think we will make the decision this evening or tomorrow morning. Joao Pedro has picked up a hamstring injury and will be "100%" unavailable. He has already had a scan this week but will need another scan next week. It's unclear how long the forward will be out for.

…TOTTENHAM

It was a big result for us in the previous match. Scoring four goals against them isn't easy because they are a big team. I remember they created a lot of chances and I think the match will be open. We have a similar style to Tottenham this season.
