Willi Orban is back in team training and could be an option for the duel with VfB Stuttgart. Whether our captain will be in the matchday squad will be decided after the final training session. Lukas Klostermann and Yussuf Poulsen (both stress control) have been back in full team training since Wednesday and will be available on Saturday. Amadou Haidara is playing with Mali in the Africa Cup of Nations and is therefore not available for the time being.
…VFB STUTTGART
This is a strong team that is in good shape. It will be a difficult game in Stuttgart. They have a good idea, play very intensely and with conviction - probably a little more at home than away. VfB is rightly where it is this season. Sebastian Hoeneß wants to play attractive football with his team. They are very good at switching. They lost their first two games this year. They had great chances in both games, but that's how it goes in football.
...TWO DEFEATS
We are anything but happy with it, it doesn't feel good. We are a club that is not used to losing. We are far from being able to sweeten things up or be happy. If we defend better, if we continue our game with the ball for longer against top teams like Leverkusen, then we will win again. We are convinced of that. It's important that we keep going, that I show the boys the opportunities and that we don't lose our nerve. We believe in our strength and have the chance to win the game in every game. We want to implement this in Stuttgart.
