Meeting Highlights…INJURY REPORT
Alexander Nübel is getting better, today he completed a running session. The hope is rising that he might be able to do more at the beginning of next week. Waldi has back problems that affect his stomach. Maxi came out of the game in Darmstadt with adductor problems. Both were able to train for the first time today. We have to wait for tomorrow’s training day. Fabi was missing from training today. He seems to have eaten something wrong and consequently didn't have a good night. We hope that today is enough for regeneration. Nikolas Nartey, Dan-Axel Zagadou and Deniz Undav will definitely be missing due to injury.
…SILAS
Silas was exhausted after the Africa Cup of Nations, which is completely understandable. Now he's had a good week of training. Silas brings us top speed and goal threat. He is a candidate for the starting eleven.
…ABOUT MATCH
We can unleash force at home. The team that starts will be able to win the game – but only if we put in a good performance and take the task 100% seriously. Köln will do everything to stay in class. We respect this game and have been warned.

Damion Downs suffered a concussion against Wuppertal and went through the protocol. He should be back in training tomorrow. Davie Selke is doing very well and might be back before the international break. With Mark and Luca, it'll be a bit longer. Faride wasn't in training this week, he should be back at Geißbockheim today. We'll see if it makes sense for the weekend.
…OPPONENT
Stuttgart have been superb this season. Compact at the back and very good going forward. We can't give them space or they'll use it. But we'll try and get on the ball and get into the final third.
…OUR PERFORMANCE
In my first 2/3 games, we were good going forward. Against Hoffenheim and Bremen that wasn't the case. When we went behind against Bremen, the lads took more risks and wanted to get forward. It's a question of our attitude depending on the situation.
