…TRANSFERS

The arrival of Alidu was a game-changer and new competition was setting in, we had to think together to allow everyone to flourish. No additional arrival, no additional departure.

...DEFENCE

Neither Wooh nor Omari will go in defence, nor Salah in attack, who could have gone elsewhere and been replaced. The four defensive positions are doubled, the idea is to give full play to the competition in each sector, for everyone to pull out all the stops to be able to increase their level of performance.

…TRANSFER WINDOW

I wanted to stay focused on the locker room, the group, and mobilise my energy on the pitch, with a team that is moving forward. The objectives upon my arrival were to restore the situation and not to be frightened, and we will endeavour to continue this recovery.

Meeting Highlights

…KARAMOH

Yann Karamoh will be 25 years old, he is a young player trained in Caen and who played in Bordeaux. I was able to chat with him, he likes to play behind the striker or on one side. He is not a great header but he is a dribbler who can finish actions but also deliver good balls. He wanted to come back to France, it was up to him to show his qualities, I think he had a lot of them and had already been able to show them in Caen or Bordeaux. He had done very good things there.

…STAMBOULI

It didn’t work out because we didn’t decide to take him, that’s all. But it wasn't him or Sagnan, it had nothing to do with it. Stambouli can play in the middle or at the back. These were his roles in Germany or Turkey. When Estève said he wanted to leave, it wasn’t to replace him with Stambouli.

…NUMBER 9

Wahbi Khazri can play in this position, there are the young people in the center, in particular the little Junior Ndiaye who can play there. We'll do with what we have. They say that we don't let young people play, they will have their chance, it's up to them to seize it. At the highest level, it’s the result that counts.
