…CALLUM WILSON’S INJURY
It was a really strange injury. He got in a tussle with a centre-back right at the end of the game. It was his pectoral muscle. We had it scanned and hoped he could carry on. He needs it operated on and he is having that operation as we speak. A big blow to him. His first priority has always been Newcastle and he feels it has been a stop start season for him. He's desperate to do well and score goals. We hope he'll be back before the end of the season. I'd never rule anything out, he could come back and still play an important part towards the end of the season for us.

Matt Targett is in a very similar position to Elliot Anderson, they're working very closely together, they're due to be training very soon, hopefully within the next 10 days.

They will have a top striker tomorrow, for sure. I don't know who they will put, but they will have a top, top striker. Anthony Gordon is a top player. Amazing. Scores a lot of goals. One of the fastest players in the competition. I think Isak can be involved in the game as well. They have a lot of options up front. They've recovered Harvey Barnes, Miguel Almiron, Jacob Murphy - I can say a lot of players!
...INJURY UPDATE
The only player we are going to lose is Romain Favre, because he's ill. He came today and he's ill with a temperature and I think that it's risky for him to travel. He's the only one that probably we didn't expect that he's not going to be able to be involved.
...STRIKER
I think it's a position that where I can use a lot of players. We have a lot of different options that I really like so it's a matter of finding the best matchup. Against West Ham, we went with Alex because we thought they were going to put a lot of midfielders inside so we wanted to match up. For the home game with Forest, we thought Justin could offer us more attacking power. For tomorrow, we don't have Philip Billing. We don't have Romain Faivre, but we still have options, the other day we finished with Enes Ünal, he played a little bit behind Solanke, so it's a position I'm not concerned because I think we have enough options.
