Manager on Manchester City
Meeting Highlights

…FODENS DEVELOPMENT

When he was 17 or 18, Kevin de Bruyne was here, also David Silva, Ilkay Gundogan... playing in a team that won a lot of Premier Leagues and in the final stages of other competitions. It's not easy. As managers we can suggest something but it belongs to them. The minutes they play with his mates, the work ethic, the mentality. The talent is there. It belongs to the players.

…FULL WEEK PREPARATION

It was good. We had days off and then three really good training sessions. We have fresh legs and minds and are ready for the game tomorrow. We have to prove it tomorrow against Wolves and then in the next games. We know we have to win and get all 12 points, otherwise it will be difficult because Arsenal are so strong, and so consistent. It’s difficult to drop points. It depends on us. It’s tomorrow and then three games in one week. No more complicated than that to analyse. I would love to say what we have done in the past is going to happen this season but nobody knows.

…INJURY REPORT

Ruben Dias and Phil Foden are fit and Erling Haaland could start after coming off the bench at Nottingham Forest last weekend. Ederson's shoulder problem is not as bad as initially thought and the Brazilian could play, despite leaving the City Ground with his arm in a sling.

…INJURY REPORT

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, Pedro Neto and Santiago Bueno have all returned to full training and are available for the match. Mario Lemina is back in training but has a little bit more to do, while Craig Dawson remains out.

…ABOUT THE MATCH

In the first game we were at home, which made it easier. They were missing a couple of players. I think everybody is pretty aware of how good they are in the run-in as well, so I would expect it to be a much more difficult test than the one we faced back in the early part of the season. They probably don't feel like they can make a slip. I would have thought with Arsenal breathing down their necks they will expect to need maximum points from the games they have got left to get it done. We go there trying to give everything we can, try to be as close to perfect as we can and see if we can cause an upset. Three points would be massive to us.

…TOUCHLINE BAN

It will have an impact, of course, but there are things in place. I am in the changing room with the players doing all of the pre-match prep, and at half-time and at full-time. I will be in communication with the bench and have a decent view tactically of the game from where I am sat.It is not ideal - if it was ideal we would do it every week. But no problem. The coaching staff are equally aware of what we are trying to do tomorrow and me being higher up will allow me to get a different view on things and I can get some messages down.
