It’s going to be something I probably won’t forget. We will have the will to play well, to see a team that gives everything from the first to the last minute, that plays with its heart, with passion. This is my objective for this first match as for all the others.

They actually like having the ball and so do we. It will be an open match. The objective will not be to take as few goals as possible but to score one more than the opponent. It will be like in a boxing ring. Paulo Fonseca, what he has done is exceptional: to have created such a strong identity in such a short time. Lille’s playing identity is very clear, but we are also building our team ambitiously.

We will play the first game. We are motivated, we have worked very well in the last weeks and we are looking forward to starting the season.

It's positive to have a group of players who know our game. Working in these conditions is easier for me. The players already know what I want. Starting a second season with a similar group is an advantage. The players are very smart and they understand very well how we work. So I think we are ready to start the season.
