Meeting Highlights…INJURY REPORT
The long-term injured players Elidon Qenaj and Thomas Keller are still out. In addition to Nikola Dovedan, who is currently suspended, Norman Theuerkauf is not available because he was or still is sick all week. The rest is usable.

FC Bayern Munich, as the German record champions, is of course something special for the environment and the fans with its many outstanding players and as a club as a whole. But in the end it's like this: We have seven match days to go and nothing has changed in our approach. We still need points and we want to get them as quickly as possible, so this week I'm just concerned with what we have to do in terms of sport in order to create a situation like that and take something away from FC Bayern Munich. We definitely have to defend a very strong offence. Bayern scored the most goals, had the most possession and had a lot of individual class. We are therefore particularly challenged on the defensive. But you already saw it in the first leg, just defending isn't enough. But we have already shown that we were able to strike at any time. With us too, you have to take everything into account, even the good, and we simply believe in that. We are pleased that FC Bayern are coming to the Voith Arena for a league game tomorrow and we are ready to play this game.
…GOALKEEPER KEVIN MÜLLER
In the Stuttgart game he thwarted three or four big VfB chances, but you can go through that all season, in principle he is almost flawless. You can always rely on him, he kept us in the game in many games and that's why it's a top season for him. He is extremely focused and simply shows that he is the support that you need as a newcomer in such a debut season. I assume that we will also need him in one or two situations tomorrow. He's also absolutely a great guy as a person, we only have great guys with us. It is certainly a special constellation that he has a soul mate in Tim Kleindienst. He is someone who can switch gears very quickly when performance is required, but otherwise he is rather calmer, very polite and pleasant. Kevin is also on our team council, so his voice within the team is very important. If he is frustrated, disappointed or angry, you can imagine him standing in front of you. Overall, he is exactly the right support you need.

We want competition and the opportunity to make things happen tactically. You need alternatives for that. I'm really unhappy with the way we played against Dortmund. There's no reason to hide away and mope. We'll carry on, we tried to push the team again. We'll carry on to the end with our heads held high. We'll now have a good final training session and then travel to Heidenheim. As unsatisfactory as the season has been, we still have one goal, which is to get to Wembley. We have to give it our all every day. We can't let our conviction and ambition drop even one percent. We're unhappy with the situation, but we'll do everything we can to squeeze the maximum out of it.
...INJURY REPORT
The main problem with Leroy is his pubic bone. With Kingsley it's muscular. He had muscular problems after the game. Thankfully we've got the confirmation that it's nothing structural, but they're problems that mean he can't play. We have five potential starters out injured. We'll see that we get the players into a rhythm. It's about playing for 90 minutes with a mental attitude that we lacked against Dortmund. Manuel Neuer, Kingsley, Leroy, Aleks Pavlovic and Noussair Mazraoui won't be in the squad. None of them five are being rested for Tuesday. They're not in the squad because they're not fit, so they're a doubt for Tuesday. There's no tendency. Every minute counts. Raphael Guerreiro is back, though.
...ABOUT MATCH
We have to make up for last weekend, also for ourselves. It's an art to focus on the next game. I don't see any reason to turn our work and preparations away from the here and now. We need to be the best version of ourselves every day. The best preparation is the next game. We need to show a reaction, do the basics again. That's how we put the Dortmund performance behind us. We'll see a classic David vs. Goliath game tomorrow, an emotional stadium that supports the home team. Of course, there's a game after this that we're looking at. But we can't press the script button, we're not taking responsibility away from anyone. If we want to achieve our Champions League dream, we have to deliver top performances every day, tighten up every day. We're not going to let anyone off the hook.
