Fabian Holland and Fraser Hornby are still out injured. Matthias Bader, Clemens Riedel, Sebastian Polter and Braydon Manu are also out. Christoph Zimmermann is missing and suspended. Bartol Franjic and Klaus Gjasula are back in training.

…LAST HOME MATCH

It is the last home game in the Bundesliga. And we have every desire to win this game. This would be a nice moment and is our opportunity to send a big thank you to our fans. Despite the great disappointment we all feel about the season, the solidarity between them and us is absolutely there.

...OPPONENT

Hoffenheim will be a highly motivated opponent who has the opportunity to get into international business. TSG is equipped with very good individual players, Andrej Kramaric has recently emerged as a fixture again and Maximilan Beier has developed enormously. They usually play with a back three and they recently proved once again against Leipzig that they can kick really well.

…MOTIVATION

Every single player can present themselves well again. This also has something to do with your own drive and with grabbing your own honour. The boys showed this motivation in training this week. My aim is to always get the team on the pitch so that they are ready. And I believe that, despite our score, morale has never been a problem this season.

We have called for the final sprint. The team seems focused, they are playing tidy football and have a good balance of toughness and quality. We know what's at stake. We can make up some ground against Darmstadt. Our aim is to have a successful away game. We want to go full throttle.

...OPPONENT

It's Darmstadt's last home game in the Bundesliga for the time being. We don't know what face they'll put on, but that's not important for us. We'll focus on ourselves and then we'll have everything in our own hands. SV Darmstadt 98 have already been relegated from the Bundesliga. The Lilies, who have 17 points to their name, will play their last home game in Germany's top flight for the time being.

...INJURY REPORT

Mergim Berisha participated in individual training on the pitch for the first time this week and will train with the team again in the course of preparations for next season. Marco John could be back in full training next week. Dennis Geiger and Stanley Nsoki are still out. Wout Weghorst was carrying an injury, but he has returned to team training and is an option for the squad. The same goes for the injured Anton Stach and Umut Tohumcu, who is returning from his yellow-card suspension.
