…IMMEDIATE IMPACT

So I'm no magician, I'm not David Copperfield! I think we have, of course, a short-term goal, and this is to get us known to the players and to implement what we want to do in playing football, how we can improve.

…DESIRE TO SCORE GOALS

It's our job now to give solutions to the players where we can create chances. The first is to create chances, to create opportunities for scoring. I think we need more players in the box because 90 percent of all the goals are scored in the box. Sometimes we come from the wing, and we have one or maximum two players there. We encourage them to go there when it's worth it to go. But of course, it's not easy to get ten players into the box and then you score, but then you concede many goals, so to find the right balance.

...TACTICS

Every manager has his own approach. We started really in a soft way because we had just three training sessions this week and it was a short week, Monday to Saturday. But the players are listening, are willing, and are open-minded. This is what I like. This is what I can promise: that this is always our base. This is the only thing I expect from my players in every game, that we give 100% to win this game. Sometimes you have a good day, sometimes you have a bad day, but you always can give your best.

…FACING NEW MANAGER

He has a lot of clarity in what he does. Sets up teams in a clear way with a lot of intent. It's the Premier League and every week we play against great managers who are bringing new things to this league.

…MUST WIN MATCH

We have to approach every game as a must-win. It is never as black and white, it is about getting a run together, that is the must. The individual game, there is an approach and attitude you have to have towards it.

…PERFORMANCE TO RESULT

That is the million dollar question. How many managers have talked about both boxes and what happened in both boxes? It is putting the ball in the back of the net and keeping it out of your own net. Part of it is confidence, part is experience.
