Team Status

We discussed what we didn't like against Bochum and what we should improve against Heidenheim, what areas we should take advantage of and how we could better defend our goal. We realized that we struggled especially in the first half. We can't let that happen to us this time. We want to significantly improve our performances and our willingness to do everything possible to win. Kids make a good impression and I'm sure we will show a different game.

Heidenheim

They enter the games with courage and enthusiasm. Strong runners, good stature, very dangerous at set pieces. This is an incredible story that is almost unheard of in modern football. A few years ago, no one could have imagined that a team would go from Verbandsliga to Bundesliga and do almost all of this with a single coach. What Frank Schmidt has done is extraordinary.

Dortmund Fans

We've already played at Schalke and in many big stadiums where there is a lot of spectators and there is a lively and emotional atmosphere. We look forward to the game, the stadium and the mood. We want to be free and brave there too, that's our way, our DNA.

Dortmund

Of course, we know from the outside that we actually don't have a chance in Dortmund. If all this was that safe, then we wouldn't have to play. But that's exactly the beauty of football: The game has to be played before the result. Try the impossible to achieve the possible. I'd like to see a team that doesn't run on the pitch with big eyes, but remembers what we found and what we plan to do, and then does it with full conviction.
