Obviously there’s this special aspect to the game on Sunday. We have the chance to be champions. But we’re only focusing on the game itself and want to play with our usual quality and mentality. We don’t want to think too much about eventualities. We’ll prepare normally for the game. Luckily, it’s not the only chance we have to be champions. But we’re playing at home and want to take our first chance.
That would be a very big surprise. Normally that won’t happen. Honestly, we’d prefer to settle it ourselves on the pitch.
Bremen are a good opponent. They play with a clear idea. We’ll approach the game with full respect, because nothing is a given. We saw that last season at Dortmund. Our heads are now on Bremen. We’re in a good situation and are focusing fully on Sunday.
The most important thing is that the fans can celebrate properly. They deserve that. But we still have a few games left to play on this pitch. We need the pitch still.

Ole Werner
Manager on Werder Bremen...INJURY REPORT
Anthony Jung, Jens Stage and Marco Friedl are all suspended, and will be absent from the clash along with Niklas Stark, Justin Njinmah and Amos Pieper, who sustained an ankle injury against Frankfurt. Jiri Pavlenka will also sit out of the game due to muscle problems, as will Skelly Alvero, who is waiting to undergo some tests after falling on his shoulder in training. When some of the boys are missing, it’s even more vital that the group sticks together and puts in a strong performance. We won’t complain, and will do our best to come up solutions to deal with the problem in the best way possible.
...LEVERKUSEN
We’re playing against the best team in Germany. Even though Leverkusen are obviously big favourites, we want to cause them problems and take our chance to pick up some points. We need to show their quality in all phases of the game. We need to look at ourselves. We need to pick up points.
